Congratulations, fellow pioneers of the digital takeback . . .

Tuesday’s Snow Supermoon was the biggest #moonstruck we have yet been a part of!

It all started last fall, when from far and wide we heard the collective cry for screen-free sanity. We pursued this notion to its logical end: ditching all devices and getting #moonstruck at each full moon. It's a ceremony that harks back to the tradition of wild humanity, before this zombified age of unprecedented digital monopoly.

#moonstruck is growing. We’ve heard from many of you, voicing support and pledging participation. Let's keep growing in strength and numbers, that one day everyone on the planet has a day for reflection, a day to inhabit their own thoughts. What might one find there? A day each month for inward musing will nourish the seeds of revolution.

The next #moonstruck is March 20th — the Blackspot Full Moon. We're planning a 24-hour insurgency that features a digital detox with an activist bent. On the appointed day, we all slap blackspots — the essential anti-logo — on every damn advertisement, billboard, commercial, promotion, or placard that tries to manipulate our minds with more consumerist deception. Let’s see how many of us can mobilize that screen-free energy into a wake-up call . . . a billion blackspots all over the global adspace!

Tune into abillionpeople.org for the official campaign launch next week.

For now, do reflect on your experience of being #moonstruck last Tuesday — and then tell us about it! Did you feel frustrated, bored, excited? Was your detox spent actively building community, or removing distractions to court contemplation with a quiet mind? Whatever your process, let us know. Brief us at campaigns@adbusters.org.

We're all in this together, and the community wants to hear from you.
