Politics in American is a ping-pong match between the Democrats and Republicans. Year after year, the nation swings from red-to-blue-to-red-to blue. But nothing ever really changes. Inequality grows, markets crash,  climate events proliferate, A.I. veers out of control. Solutions will never emerge from a system like this. Both parties will always nibble around the status quo — because staying in power and winning the next election are the only things that count.

To make it through the 21st century we must jump over the dead bodies of the old Left and Right and give birth to a new kind of politics, one of deep change that the young people of the world can embrace and vote for. A party that:

• Upends surveillance capitalism

• Curbs  megacorporate power

• Slows down fast money

• Shifts the paradigm of economic science

• Restores faith in democracy and the media

• Gets the best minds to run the country

We’ve settled on a new name: the Pirate Party of America. The Empire-busting pirate vibe resonates deeply with a new generation. And the straw-hat pirate flag has already galvanized young people in dozens of countries around the world.
