The Epic Story of Humanity: Part 1, Spring

This Machine Causes Global Warming

Only 16 Years Left to Avoid Nightfall.

Sixteen years is all the time we have left to reduce our oil addiction and avert the predicted 2 degree celsius global temperature rise caused largely by automobiles.

The #16yearsleft campaign, started by Toronto based activist/art group Our Horizon, is pushing for city councils across the world to put warning labels on gas pumps. Go to and start with your hood. Send a letter to your local representative here.

As for me, I carry the stickers around in my backpack so that whenever I'm out and about, I’ve got a quick and dirty way to earn #killcap points. Stickers are silent, fast and effective. I just grab some designs from the web and print them at home. It may not earn as many points as rancid butter in Goldman Sachs, but by now I’ve probably slapped a few hundred memes onto the gasoline pumps around town. I bike whenever possible. And I offset my carbon emissions by playing #killcap.

I'm not sure why but this weblog is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I'll check back later and see if the problem still exists.

Here is my blog post - Ellie

I've seen people do things, stupid ignorant things, knowing that what they're doing is not helping a given purpose. I've seen someone start their car and drive two blocks away to pick up a burrito. I've seen someone throw trash on the ground only twenty steps from a visible trash can. I've seen people smoke cigarettes after talking shit about how people smoke cigarettes(drunk vs sober I guess). Welcome to the world of super ignorance and selfishness. People will do what they want to do, because it is driven by the fact they can't see the bigger picture. Out of sight, out of mind. That's it. I'm looking out for numero UNO. I don't give two shits about anyone but myself. Get out of your parents' BMW, get a job that doesn't just pay for your ecstasy, cocaine, and drinking habits, and start living a productive life with goals. Goals to be a better person, and maybe put down the glamour magazine, and pick up something out of the norm. Something real.

Matt, Southern California.

I couldn't have said this better myself. There is so much ignorance, apathy, fear and selfishness in the world. I think looking out for yourself is all you can really do in the end, but you can also see the bigger picture. You can also be willing to at least try and create so shift in consciousness within your sphere of influence. I wish people would at least try, instead of shitting themselves at the prospect of leaving their comfort zone.
