Enough. Boycott Israel.

Is it time we organized a broad campaign to boycott, divest and sanction Israel?

In a recent editorial in the Guardian UK, Naomi Klein called for a widespread Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel. She wrote that, "It's time. Long past time. The best strategy to end the increasingly bloody occupation is for Israel to become the target of the kind of global movement that put an end to apartheid in South Africa... Every day that Israel pounds Gaza brings more converts to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions cause - even among Israeli Jews. In the midst of the assault roughly 500 Israelis, dozens of them well-known artists and scholars, sent a letter to foreign ambassadors in Israel. It calls for "the adoption of immediate restrictive measures and sanctions" and draws a clear parallel with the anti-apartheid struggle. 'The boycott on South Africa was effective, but Israel is handled with kid gloves ... This international backing must stop.'"

Naomi Klein's assessment resonates with many people who are terribly upset by the injustice they see happening in Gaza. Now is the time that we should collectively act to simultaneously reject consumerism and the war in Gaza. Getting involved is easy:

First, visit the Boycott Israeli Goods website and begin actively refusing to buy any product made in Israel. You can also download a comprehensive guide of Israeli products.

And, if you have a website, you can promote this campaign by adding a small "Boycott Israel" banner to the top left of your website. To do so, put the following code anywhere on your webpage. For an example of how this looks, visit why-war.com

Do you think a boycott of Israel can end the occupation of Palestine? How can we spread this Boycott campaign more widely?

Update: The following websites have joined the Boycott Israel campaign. We will keep updating this list as more sites join!

Wrong answer. Religions like Christianity and Islam make people strong. Africans may not be rich but they are powerful in a much more enduring way - fertility. The Hollywood Jews attack religion because through their intricate network of lobby groups they have gathered massive control of the corporate world and ultimately benefit from feeble minded consumers with no morality. Fear not. Morality is much older than Capitalism and will triumph like Good over Evil. Look at America as it slowly collapses. Where is her religion? Gone down the shit hole of consumption? Who cares? America can be the first sacrifice as the world plunges into purifying chaos. If America goes, Israel will pop like a plump little pimple. Africans will be comfortable in this kind of dystopian nightmare because: a) they have God/Allah b) they've been enduring it for quite a while already Israel was a mistake and most of you guys are only Jewish as an ethnicity and have no concept of religion. Your state is an exclusive zone based on race, so basically you are doing all this shit because you are unwilling to taint your precious genes. Sounds a lot like Nazism.

What a racist diatribe. This is exactly the problem. You attack the faith of over 1 billion people on this earth. How is that helping? If I wrote what you wrote and replaced "Mohamed" with "Moses" and "Islam" with "Jewish" I would be labeled an Anti-Semite bigot.

Just as religions exist, atheism does too and some atheists believe that those who profess religion should freely do it, it's their right; I would ignore those who are not open minded. It doesn't matter what I think of any religion, it is not my business. We shall be free to decide what it works for us, even if we disagree or get angry at the other side's views, and as long as it doesn't hurt others or interefer with others' styles of life, we should always have the freedom to choose philosophies and co-exist peacefully.
