Suppressing Nonviolent Dissent

An anthology of police brutality at encampments across America.

Veterans assaulted with truncheons, women dragged through the streets by their hair, grandmothers pepper sprayed in the face, peaceful protestors bludgeoned while sitting. Sound like something authorities in Egypt, Tunisia or Syria would order and condone? Think again. It's happening here in the US.

I’m a master student of digital media at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, in Medellin, Colombia. I’ve always been very passionate of cyberactivism, and I’m also an activist, so the subject of my thesis it’s the cyberactivism in social networks. I need your opinions about ciberactivism, if you want to help me with a few questions just click the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHFnS3BiT2l6VHJEd2F2TkI2RVlVeFE6MQ Beforehand thank you very much!

America: The eyes of the world are watching the brutal actions of your state.

In your name, stop them.

Who are they protecting? Who are they serving?

Not you, I'll bet.

Fascism is alive and well in North America. Here in Canada the very same brutal tactics were employed against peaceful protest. Here, the Powers That Own invented bylaws and hurriedly invented new rules to control and stop all and any forms of protest.
It is time to fight back with acts of violence, terrorism and anarchy - these revolutionary tactics that contain horror and pain must be used back against the fascism that is slowly taking over Western Society.
Peace is not working.
The 1% need to be forced into wakefulness.

Violence isn't the answer. And never should be, it is a last resort. And until the actual military might of this country is brought against peaceful protest the last resort should not even be considered. Please don't try to push the protester who are using their freedoms to peacefully protest to violence, that is exactly what the enemy of the OWS movement wants. It validates their message of hate and fascism!
