Police Brutality Increasing Against Occupy

From Oakland to St. Louis, police are breaking bones.

Police across the country are increasingly using extreme violence against occupiers. The weekly SF Bay Guardian recently revealed that Oakland police have received numerous complaints of excessive force. In a complaint from Oct. 25, an occupier says that “officers found a person alone, beat him, and broke his knee.” A complaint from a Jan. 7 march says that a police officer kneed an occupier in the back “causing his spine to break.” In New York City, media reports that an occupier’s rib was broken on the six-month anniversary of OWS. When the wounded occupier began having a seizure, she was denied medical attention while a crowd watched in horror. When occupiers from across the middle of America gathered in St. Louis, Missouri for the Occupy the Midwest regional summit, they too were also brutally beat back. Tazers were used, a dozen arrests were made, and several occupiers were led away with their faces covered in blood.

In the following eyewitness account, an occupier describes how it feels to be in confronted by extreme police brutality:

“For those that have never witnessed police violence, I want to make something clear. Nothing about this situation followed the prescription of an arrest – this media image of a “You are under arrest. You have the right…” is not what happens in real life. A friend said it best, what happened Thursday night was some gangsta shit. It was angry, vicious people jumping unarmed protesters and bystanders. It was an attack. It was intentional brutality. They did not follow any procedure of kettling, “less lethal” tactics, etc. Their actions were directly targeting individuals and beating the shit out of them. It was so fucked up.

I am traumatized. I am having flashbacks, and the more I try to make the motions of my mundane life the more vivid they become. Work, school, friendly conversations all seem completely devoid of meaning. All I can do is tell the story of my experience and force the people I surround myself with to question the society we participate in. I am so fucking angry.”

Someone who understands the reality that the elite will never back down. They will send their desperate, brainless apes in to do their bidding. And, yes, when the spineless cops open fire, we'll see about those who profess nonviolent resistance and the voting process. People will fight for freedom. They will give their lives for freedom. Narcissism hasn't changed throughout human history and neither has the basic human need for freedom.

Hang on tight, people. The shit has yet to hit the fan.

Both sides play the middle.
They are gutting the country while driving us over the cliff.
"How far can we take the ignorant apathetic masses?" Congress said.

We HAVE to vote out all incumbents
1. get money out of lobby & campaign by overturning Citizens United
2. Freedom from BIG oil that will turn us into Easter Island U.S.A...New Energy may mean nuclear until we can invent new energies large enough and dense enough for industrial grid backbone.
3. End Federal Reserve

Obama is such a disappointment.
All that oration.
No promises delivered.
Obama lied to get into office.
Now Obama spends all his time bent over in apologetic compromise.
Such a disappointment to have only a toastmaster as leader of our country.

Obama is a disappointment. Though our population, seeking one person or administration to turn this country away from a neoliberal market agenda, is more disappointing. No leadership or authority will represent a majority... we must represent ourselves AS the majority.

Obama is a "disappointment". A disappointment. Yeah, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, all "disappointments", too. How many people did these narcissists murder with no conscience? So what do you think the "NATO" guys are going to talk about at Camp David? The FEMA camps are in place, the NDAA bill is in place, the drone spy planes that can shoot people are in place, Obama has his cabinet in place to control the country's resources, Obama is starting gun control, he wrote another executive order to outlaw protest where CIA are required, he's censoring the internet, there is a media blackout, the list goes on and on and on. They don't care about you and I. They'll eventually kill us if we get in their way.

They're going to beat the living hell out of you people this summer. Do you not see that Obama is another pathological dictator and is extremely dangerous. Do you not understand what this is going to come to? They're not going to quit because you guys peacefully protest. The move to Camp David is not a back down on their part. They are going to plan to make themselves stronger and more aggressive. They're going to be really pissed, now. Obama is going to be the front for WWIII. We're all eventually going to have to choose whether to fight for freedom, yet again, or succumb to hell. That's what it always boils down to. This is the same old history repeating itself. We're fighting the same enemy that was fought during the American Revolution, just a different generation.

We don't manage to take out the right people. It's the narcissists you need to focus on. The pathological narcissists. You're not going to get this done through peaceful protests. It ain't gonna happen. You wait and see. And voting, what a joke. Obama is already shoed in. Welcome to hell.

I am very thankful I remain outside of America. I believe there are things I can do now without fear of...

One way we can get rid of police action completely is by contacting corporations and organizations that have not been corrupted or who want to change. We need to get the support of these groups. If we can hold huge rallies on private properties that are big enough to be open to the public and secluded enough for neighbors not to call the police then we can hold these demonstrations and meetings without being intterupted and actually get some decisions made in a timely manner. Now that we have the support of the people, we need the support of larger groups that already have systems in place which can agree with us. Maybe we can find businesses that run under a social business model and/or have sustainable and progressive products and practices to support us! We need as much support as we can get. We should not rule out anyone as allies... it's like the saying goes: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
