Osama!

Why are people dancing in the streets?

The assassination of Osama Bin Laden is a major historical event that many of us will remember for the rest of our lives, like 9-11 itself. As the world reacts spontaneously, and the public forms its opinion, nearly every mainstream commentator is openly rejoicing his death. Yet there are signs of dissent, a growing feeling that there is something deeper we are prohibited from saying. Here are a few people who are struggling to articulate that unsayable truth.

Chris Hedges:

"The tragedy was that if we had the courage to be vulnerable, if we had built on that empathy, we would be far safer and more secure today than we are .... Empire finally, as Thucydides understood, is a disease. As Thucydides wrote, the tyranny that the Athenian empire imposed on others it finally imposed on itself. The disease of empire, according to Thucydides, would finally kill Athenian democracy. And the disease of empire, the disease of nationalism .... I despair. I despair that we as a country, as Nietzsche understood, have become a monster that we are attempting to fight." Read More

Jeremy Scahill:

"I found it quite disgusting to see people chanting, like it was some sort of sporting event, outside of the White House. I think it was idiotic." Read More

Chris Douglas-Roberts:

A twitter war has erupted over basketball player Douglas-Roberts' skeptical comments about the assassination: "Is this a celebration? Is this the beginning of a huge religious war? It took 919,967 deaths to kill that one guy. It took 10 years and two wars to kill that guy. It cost us (USA) roughly $1,188,263,000,000 to kill that guy. But we #winning though. Haaaa. (Sarcasm)." Jeremy Scahill said "I found it quite disgusting to see people chanting, like it was some sort of sporting event, outside of the White House."

At least Americans don't wave guns in the air or burn other people's flags or leaders in effigy or call for death to entire countries, like a lot of people in certain countries do when they're pissed at America.

The U.S. has killed more people than Bin Laden ever did. It's sad how people rejoice over single terrorist dead when the U.S. continues to kill millions forcing third world countries into debt and keeping social change from happening.

They were truly stunning pictures on the TV, that how people were celebrating another`s death. Whoever is dying is still a human person and that should be respected. And I think nobody really knows what happened in 9.11 or in that place in Pakistan. (Only those who made them)

Anyway, How did you feel to being shot on the face with out a world, probably. Is there no empathy in people at all?

I also wonder who was shot death, if anybody at all, why did they shot if he had no any weapons and, why on the face, if they are professionals they shoot where ever they want.

Poor people lead by the noose with out a word...

People gathering in the white house in the wake of Bin Laden death 2 me was the same as the people who would gather after a lynching of a person of color. all throughout US history they would gather after they killed a slave. Lets not forget that the US/CIA made Bin Laden, trained him & gave him billions of dollars. Let's not forget that they named the mission code name Geronimo. Blatant racism in the white house. They act stupid like in Libya's operation odyssey ; A Greek epic poem traditionally ascribed to Homer, describing the travels of Odysseus during his ten years of wandering after the fall of Troy. Then when you see the connections, they call you a conspiracy theorist. US Divide & Conquer, illegal war, illegal death, illegal life. They know that this way of life is unsustainable but that's the point. If your not a modern day slave 2 the US, they kill you while holding all the real Americans hostage. World listen up, the Divided States of America is not your friend. Were not even a country. This is why we don't have queens or kings because were a corporate run system that is still trying 2 rule the world. F*ck $, real power is people. God bless all the real people around the world.

Osama Bin Laden has been dead for quite a few years, the events following the made for TV in America Bin Laden murder was to drum up support for a weak ass incompetent presidents re-election bid. Bush, Chenet, Wolfowitz and Rumsfelt engineered the 911 attacks and used Bin Laden as a scapegoat. The American people are mesmerized by the corporate financial military industrial complex in order to gain popular support for wars of aggression against smaller countries to rob them of minerals, oil and any other resources they might have. It's all a big game to the Bilderbergs, the Rothchilds, the Rockefellers and the Royals in the UK, they are all in the same club.
