#OCCUPYWALLSTREET Orientation Guide

One final strategic push.

Good news culture jammers!

The weather forecast for tomorrow is partly cloudy skies and highs of 68°F. Nighttime temperatures will reach a low of 52°F. There is a small chance of rain later in the week. Bring, at minimum, warm clothing, sleeping bag, food, water and a tarp.

Saturday's occupation begins at noon in Bowling Green Park. The first people's assembly will start at 3 p.m. at One Chase Manhattan Plaza and continue until our one demand is agreed upon by all. Check out the full schedule of events.

A leaked bulletin from the New York Police Department reveals that they expect at least 5,000, and maybe even 20,000 people to swarm Wall Street tomorrow. That just might be enough for us to pull this off!

A telephone support line has been set up by occupywallst.org. For directions or help call (877) 881-3020 to speak with a local activist. For legal advice, or to report an arrest, call the National Lawyers Guild at (212) 679-6018.

Democracy Now!, Bloomberg News, the Washington Post and CNN covered #OCCUPYWALLSTREET today. The CNN article is a good summary.

When asked about the occupation, the mayor of New York City responded, "People have a right to protest, and if they want to protest, we’ll be happy to make sure they have locations to do it. As long as they do it where other people’s rights are respected, this is the place where people can speak their minds …"

Anonymous says they will release their new hacktivism tool at 7am in solidarity with #OCCUPYWALLSTREET.

While Michael Moore and the rest of the mainstream left continues to be largely silent about #OCCUPYWALLSTREET, American rapper Lupe Fiasco has been vocal in his support. Lupe has vowed to donate 50 tents to the occupation and has written a poem celebrating our efforts.

President Obama will be in New York City at a private $38,500 per person fundraising event on Monday, September 19th starting at 5:30 p.m. at 820 Park Avenue. Maybe we can go there and invite him to join our people's assembly?

For those who cannot attend one of the many solidarity events happening in Milan, Madrid, Valencia, London, Lisbon, Athens, San Francisco, Santander, Madison, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and now Algeria and Israel, there will be a live stream of events at: livestream.com/globalrevolution

This is your last chance to send a message to all your friends via Facebook, Twitter and phone asking them to join you tomorrow.

Why Saturday? "No business as usual" means diddly on a weekend.

Why just Wall Street? While we're at it why not head into DC and shut down the bridges leading to the Pentagon and the streets surrounding K Street?

Come before rush hour! Come ready to be arrested!

Didn't one of you geniuses realize that giving the police MONTHS of warning beforehand kinda made it inevitable that it would flop about like an embarrassingly wet but still yet dying fish? What a mishandling of your supporters good faith! This is why you are being ignored as just children.

Lesson: Don't just recognize your limitations. Articulate them every chance you get. Example: If you all just erupted inside the near ground zero stock exchange on monday without warning you would all be shot in a panic. If you are damp squibs (sic) explain why. If you're being hippies only to get laid and kill two birds at the one time admit it and dismiss it.

It's easy to criticize without offering suggestions. How do you think people can spread the word and gather thousands together without some authority discovering the plan? Many of the people involved in these groups are probably already being closely watched. It's highly likely that known groups have even been infiltrated (that tactic has been popular since the days of MLK). Given how unlikely it is to keep these things a secret, it seems like a better strategy to just get the word out to as many people as possible so that the number of protesters can overwhelm the police presence.

Besides, have you ever seen what it looks like when police take over an area, like they are doing right now on wall street? That presence does not go unnoticed. Even if the protesters themselves are not in the area, the message comes across loud and clear - the only thing standing between the people and the bankers are the armed guards paid to protect them. Wall street people probably feel like they are entering a war zone as they go to work. They are getting the message.

my prosperity in terms of pay is less than 40k per year, but the benefits would probably push the value to around $50k. at this time, i work for a company represented by Wall Street. it appears this movement seeks to destabilize my, my co-workers and even my CEO's prosperity and freedom. if i am correct and this movement is successful, what prosperity and freedom does this movement seek to impose upon me?
