Adbusters is looking for fired-up, postcool, revolutionary-minded cultural creatives!

TANT

Hey all you existential diggers & new world dreamers out there,

Tactical Briefing #36 is out now! Here’s a taste:

“Defying all cynicism, the passion on the streets keeps burning … Now a new tactical model is emerging: the strategic pincer —> We attack the global financial system from above with big bang protests, uprisings and revolts —> concurrently we attack the global financial system from below with hundreds of daily move-your-money actions at the 35,000 branches of megabanks worldwide. We beat the shit out of global capitalism — metaphorically speaking of course — and then we escalate towards a series of global solutions…”

PLAY JAZZ – Adbusters is looking for fired-up, postcool, revolutionary-minded cultural creatives!

If you’re a writer who's overcome despair, found a new path, put your ass on the line or witnessed something profound then send it to us for processing. Adbusters is on newsstands throughout the English speaking world — a Spanish edition is coming soon — and we catalyze global shifts! We also encourage zeitgeist miners who have come across a killer meme, know philosophy’s next turn or are deeply tuned into the intimate side of the global movement to send us deep links, scans from books or snapshots from their streets. We pay writers by the word and give miners a finder’s fee if they were the first to send us a piece that we publish… So shoot us stories, photographs, poems, campaign and activist news on a number of fronts:

Are you sure your comment got censored? Comments get published automatically lin here, sometimes there's plenty of commercial spam in here even, there's no regulation at all of the spaces for comments, and they're full with critics to the review quite often. I wouldn't raise such a heavy accusation unless I was completely sure of it. See how your comment got published man

Imagine all you like, but the current world we are in includes things like patents. It would be a far better thing for you to imagine a world where creative people are justifiably reimbursed for the NON-tangible products they supply the world - like expanding knowledge and culture... and that would enable the artists themselves to put food on the table. Adbusters may not be living large on peoples art, but whilst ever artists are not properly recompensed for their work, it is indeed the artists you should have concern for.

Heh dude,

When you come down from your whatever-induced John Lennon trip...

Think about what intellectual property and value means, what people invest into their ideas and plans:

Tangible stuff, which takes hours and days and months and sometimes years to produce something that will benefit society.

People devote their lives to producing something that is either a service or a product, and they deserve to be compensated for it.

And the fairest mechanism for compensation is a free market where people will pay what they think is fair for that product of service.

What are you suggesting?

Let's have a society where some people are compensated for their work, but others are not?

What you're inferring is silly.

If you loved Adbusters, you would write for publication for free.

It's for the good of the planet.
