God is One

Year of the Snake Reflection: #4.

"The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides and gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, we shall have discovered fire."

The forces of this universe in their entirety are as a speck of dust on an open hand compared to the Power Of Love in eternal act. Love is the power and infinitely so. Love is the way. There is no other way. Acts of love endure forever. Those we know and love in the Here we will know and Love in the After. By way of love, peace is going to come to this world.

What you said reminded me of this:

All I'm saying is simply this, that all life is interrelated, that somehow we're caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. For some strange reason, I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality. (King, December 18, 1963 speech given at Western Michigan University,

Who am I? I am you. You are me. Who I am becoming you are becoming. Who you have becoming I am becoming. Each is the center. Each guides each. All are equal in the gift. We were never created, but always have been and always will be; we are immortal beings.

Say, Allah is One. Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute. He neither begot anyone, nor he was begotten. And equal to Him has never been any one.

I disagree. "we shall harness for God the energies of love" sounds like something people do already, not something that we will do one day after we develop power from wind and tides. People give their time and energy to god all the time. So, although it sounds poetic, you are really not describing a new phenomenon but an old one.

And so, this discovery of fire for the second time should have already happened. I can interpret this to mean that by doing god's work, you will awaken the fire in your soul.

Its a cute image. But I don't think God wants our energy. I'm sure he has plenty of it. He would rather you spent your energy becoming more aware of this world and protecting the weak from the evil and the sick from the cold. Right now, we are failing as a world at helping the weak and the sick. Too many suffer while too many others look the other way.

Adbusters shows flashes of leadership as time and time again these artists raise awareness about the great struggles in this world. I wish it was more consistent.
