just because you cant teach all what your kid should know theres something like schools. if it was up to parents like you the world would ve gone down already. just look at the youths minds these days. some are so far away in bliss they dont even know the history of their own country 'cause they don't care'.

YA. DOWN WITH... EDUCATION?

What's your idea, genius? Do you want throw away public education, tear down the schools, toss out the teachers, and take on all of the responsibility of the schools into your own unskilled hands? I shudder to think what kind of students/citizens teachers like you would produce. Talk about blind leading the blind.

It is clear there are only a couple of people here who know what the issue is. It is not only about teachers - it is about all public employees. It is not about wages and benefits, the public employees are willing to have some of that taken away. It is about the assault on their collective bargaining. Something that has absolutely nothing to do with fixing Gov. Walker's manufactured budget crisis. The firefighters, troopers, and police are exempt not because they do "real" work -- they are exempt because Walker is rewarding their unions for endorsing him during his campaign. Although now all three of those unions have recanted their endorsement and are standing with the other public employees. And to the guy who thinks WI teachers make 80K a year plus benefits....you are an idiot.

The feeling of community and solidarity in WI right now is one I have never felt, at all the College campuses, and especially in Madison. It is amazing to see so many people come together. I am glad Walker pulled such a straight forward attack on our rights. It has opened up the discussion: corporate tyranny vs. the people. Walker cut taxes for corporations and his cronies who paid for his campaign, and created this defecit. This is not new. Obama just raised taxes on the poor, and cut taxes for the rich, and that is just a continuation of life in America. This is how it has always been. Time to rise up.

Times are only hard because 20% of the population want to keep 80% of the wealth of our nation. There is not a lack of wealth in this country. There is a lack of equitable distribution of wealth. We are all responsible for allowing that to happen. We live in one of the most resource rich places on this planet. Times are not hard because of a lack of resources in this country.
