I must disagree with the comment that NATO and American troops are much like the Taliban. The Taliban are fighting for the right to enslave women and their own people. To bury them in pits to their waist or neck and stone them; to flog them in public; to cut off their noses and ears; to throw acid in their faces; to keep then uneducated and with no opportunity for enrichment or self improvement and chained to a primitive system that gives males all the power and renders females totally powerless even to disfigurement and horrible death. The Taliban kill all who don't believe in their religion, whether they try to teach it or not, simply not believing is a death sentence. They destroy the books of other faiths, and blow up international treatures--status of The Budda--because it isn't their religion. There is a real difference between self determination and enslavement. The Taliban promote the latter, the NATO allies the former. Consider the recent cover photo in Time magazine and the accompanying story as evidence of the Taliban way and beliefs that they want to force onto all.
