If you weren't happy to give them your money, then why did you? Those things you call "useful" are extreme luxuries that most of the world does without. Now those companies have your money. Deal with it.

Nobody is saying anything like that within the context you're making it out to be. You seem like one of those people that don't fully understand the topic at hand, and runs a muck with your opinion b/c you're totally off on your opinion from the very base. No dude, let me make this clear for you. Although it's already been said to you. This is about how those corporations that make our smart phones "buy our politicians." Buy our politicians, buy our politicians. I had to repeat myself so that you actually heard the part we're talking about, not just the part that you want to hear. Yes we like electronics. Yes we buy them, but just because we like the technology doesn't mean that we want Mark Zuckerburg or whoever to buy our politicians, and sell us all out in the process. If you don't get it by now, then just don't worry about it. It'll all be over with soon.

No. That is not what is being said. Stop listening to what you are saying to yourself and read this again:

Corporations use their money to buy our politicians, because there is no regulation or law to stop them from doing this, it's actually the opposite now, which needs to be fixed.
