I know here are just good and bad people in hiring and paying others and in profit making. To make system work for all, we need not to allow money talk systematically and we all should be individuals who create the political process for matters solved. No cooperative identities please in this political scenes.

Dear Anonymous on October 18 2011, @01:12 pm:
"The arguments of OWS???" The core goal of OWS is "ending the influence money has over our representatives in Washington." Any other goal is the goal of folks who are restating, expanding on, replacing, or co-opting the movement's goal.

I know that's the core goal because that's the initial goal stated by the founders. This is well-documented; it all started HERE: http://www.adbusters.org/blogs/adbusters-blog/occupywallstreet.html

You seem to be saying that OWS is misdirected because it blames Wall Street instead of the political system. In fact it is you who is misdirected; you are misinformed about what OWS is about, and are making a straw man argument. (Google "straw man logical"!)

What exactly are the protests trying to accomplish? All I see are complaints..no proposed solutions. What tax rate or change of policy is proposed to who? I worked my ass off to become what is now called a "top 5%er" nobody gave me anything and because I fairly and honestly competed for my earnings I've paid more taxes and created more jobs than any combined 50 of the protesters who could have done the same thing I did to get to where I am. Why is success in a democracy considered a crime?

Someone please be specific with what exact change is proposed and how it will help.
While you are at it, please explain why a corporation is considered any thing other than a group of human beings working hard to generate revenues by competing to sell a product or service that someone else is willing to purchase? What is wrong with that?

OWS's overall message is clear if you care to listen: Moneyed interest have co-opted the political process; it is no longer enough to just vote because the our democracy is starting to look like an oligarchy. The bubble contrived by Wall Street burst and the economic future for many people looks like a dead end street and they are understandably a little miffed that there is every indication of the cycle repeating itself.

Listen, when we paid the bill to bail out the banks and save the worlds economy it was with the implied understanding that it would be followed by reform, but clearly that reform is being strangled by the moneyed interest who are so conceited that they do not even admit that they did anything wrong are are gleefully starting to repeat the process.

I understand that you worked hard for your money, but I do not think that makes you a Golden God who is ordained to wear the rest of us like a shoe. OWS is a diverse group and they will surely get to the specifics of what they want, but in your heart your already know that they want financial reform, campaign finance reform, economic justice and a democracy in which their votes actually count for something!
