Some good points doc. What do you think about the US government subsidizing health care like they do in most European nations?

If your a doctor then you konw that the alot of countries elderly population rate is increasing drastically. We need doctors and nurses like fish need water. When the cost of living is too high for a nurse to live on we have problems.

Wow...just reading these angry responses to a short piece with relatively innocent observations made by me shows the hatred that is truly ingrained in this "movement". I don't pretend to be a good person through any action of my own; but to read people who know nothing about me spout off as if they've been personally wronged by me is astounding!

My family and myself have been very blessed in this country and out of those blessings we choose to help our community. NOT out of guilt, like many wealthy liberals with no moral baseline, but out of what I believe to be compassion for our fellow Americans and human beings.

The opportunities that this country affords ALL citizens is boundless. Just because many people don't happen to take advantage of those opportunities, are the rest supposed to just give them things? No. Some people are not going make the most of their lives and for those people I feel sorry. Some people either don't have the ability or are unable to benefit from these opportunities and for those people I will do what I can to help lift them up. Like it or not there is ALWAYS going to be a stratification of people in any society. If you have the government intervene and attempt to take away this stratification through redistribution then you simply produce the large, corrupt, immoral government that many of you and myself seem to be against.

I realize this is mostly a waste of my time on this site, but if I'm able to open up a few peoples minds then I guess I've succeeded somehow.

I'll finish with this...

I would love to see all the people involved in these rallies drop their signs, look around them, pick up some trash and then find a cause in their very own neighborhood that they can assist with. I think we would all be further ahead with that sort of attitude.

We are picking up our own trash (thank you) and the trash for the people on Wall Street who trashed the economy as well! l
