Also love it!

According to Eagleton, shouldn't cultural theory "start thinking ambitiously once again . . . so that it can seek to make sense of the grand narratives in which it is now embroiled" (73)? To me, this video attempts just that--in a time grand narratives such as those alluded to in the video, in a time that this generation is stereotyped as apathetic and full of cliches, McCarthy and other activists strive to reinvent a voice about these narratives that will be heard.

McCarthy isn't "Shanghaied" to another agenda--the video clearly is using one strong voice to rally this generation into speaking out as passionately about the variety of our concerns, (from education to the War on Terror) rather than submitting to "apathy" or passivity expected of us-- this filmmaker being one of the empathetically progressive like McCarthy, this video being his voice.

I disagree with the video having pictures of the black bloc gang smashing up police cars in Canada, as these were obviously placed individuals to insight violence in an otherwise peaceful protest. Apart from that good video...

"peaceful" protest vs. "violent protest" vs. legitimate "protest" vs. "illegitimate" protest,

some people will live as educated slaves their whole lives worrying about other people's tactics, sitting on their arses making arguments about nothing that matters, armchair critics in a real war they neither understand nor involve themselves in,

"The house is burning down and everyone is busy arguing about the colour of the fireman's hair." J. Krishnamurti
