Conditioned people can not see more then the reflexion of their own limitation. Most of the time people just seek their own satisfaction in everything they look.

Only free spirit people can see things as they are... "sky" the limit!!!
I am happy to know you exist. I want to meet people like you.
Where are you???

You make humanity to diserve more points; you give me hope. :-)))

What a passionate call to arms. BEAUTIFUL.

The author of this piece can not be faulted for her focus on our society's obsession with female beauty. she mentioned that men suffer from this beauty obsession too. so she did the best she could given the language deficit that exists for talking about male oppression. men don't have a movement like feminism to popularise their (very unpopular) fight against oppressive male archetypes. this is in no small part because men are not allowed to be vulnerable and oppressed. so they don't participate in men's movements. and so their issues are not discussed. they're not allowed to be discussed. only "pussies" would "whine" about male oppression. after all, aren't they supposed to be the oppressors? the masters of the universe?

I'm a man who used to suffer from a crippling body dysmorphic disorder. My fragile sense of self esteem was completely dependent on how physically attractive i felt i was. I tried to commit suicide because i felt i was ugly. and my ugliness ended with a period. nothing could come after. or if it did it would only exist as a footnote. characteristics like "intelligent" or "creative" seemed small and irrelevent when they stood next to ugly.

i believe that our society is selling us a self distructive masculine template. the image making institutions of corporate america demand that men look beautiful, have lots of money and are emotionally invulnerable. and when you don't measure up to this standard of "success" then you are just a fucking loser.
