Blah-blah-blah... we can lipsynch along with this stuff by now, and I know she fancies herself as somehow being a challenge to patriarchal, objectifying etc etc industries. The problem is the assumption that being unattractive somehow makes you smart or a good poet.

It is not only patriarchal but matriarchal also. Have you recently checked the numbers of women dying and failing in physical and mental health due to the problem she presents. As for your later statement, there is no assumption other than yours that "pretty" women cannot write good poetry or that "unpretty" women cannot!
