The Russian Revolution

Every great revolution, and a social revolution in particular, even if there were no external war, is inconceivable without internal war, i.e., civil war, which is even more devastating than external war, and involves thousands and millions of cases of wavering and desertion from one side to another, implies a state of extreme indefiniteness, lack of equilibrium and chaos. And of course, all the elements of disintegration of the old society, which are inevitably very numerous and connected mainly with the petty bourgeoisie (because it is the petty bourgeoisie that every war and every crisis ruins and destroys first), cannot but “reveal themselves” during such a profound revolution. And these elements of disintegration cannot “reveal themselves” otherwise than in an increase of crime, hooliganism, corruption, profiteering and outrages of every kind. To put these down requires time and requires an iron hand.
Vladimir Lenin

I live in a town with 120,000 people, and I'm sure I would be the only one blackspotting a billboard in November. barely anyone I know talks about these issues, and the ones that do have a difficult time imagining things any other way. one guy defacing a billboard is a terrorist. if you are suggesting the possibility of systemic collapse with this event, then you are suggesting a paradigm shift in the worldview of millions of people. It would dramatically alter the lives of many people who have no sense of what we are trying to accomplish, and many others who would fight to keep things just as they are.
I would also like to add that the discourse between adbusters and the individuals posting to this site has been poor, considering the magnitude of what we are being asked to accomplish. I’ve also seen several posts deleted for no legitimate reason. I saved one post in particular on my computer before it was removed, and I have some serious concerns about why it happened. There seems to be some kind of aversion to discussing the federal reserve here, as well. Anyone interested in discussing this should reply.

The Fed is one of the biggest frauds in the history of the United States and more people should know how it works and end it.

We need to seriously address the Federal Reserve. It is a private institution with a monopoly on money creation. Will Adbusters please address this topic. This is a serious reform issue. Thanks

I don't think the Ron Paul Revolution and the Adbusters have much common ground, but ending the Fed is something that both organizations share.
