A Brief History of Revolution
A Brief History of Revolution

With every threat to me, I feel proud that I am a bone in the enemy’s throat. When the enemy chases me, threatens me and tries to assassinate me, it makes me feel that I am walking, thanks be to God, on the right path.

People who want the liberation of their land, self-determination, independence and freedom from occupation must be patient. They have no choice other than sacrifice and resistance. Our people are noble and have practiced this for dozens of years and will continue to do so.

Military force is an option that our people resort to because nothing else works. Israel’s conduct and the collusion of the international community, whether through silence or indifference or actual embroilment, vindicate armed resistance. We would love to see this conflict resolved peacefully. If occupation were to come to an end and our people enabled to exercise self-determination in their homeland, there would then be no need for any use of force.

Khaled Meshal, Damascus-based leader of Hamas

With so many horrific situations in the world what is the true rationale behind ad busters obsession with the right of Israel to exist?

Secondly it is factually incorrect and deliberately intellectually dishonest to suggest (or proclaim as the case here) that Hamas is "fighting for the liberation of it's country."

Israel left Gaza a long time ago and it is currently ruled by Hamas a theocratic fascist dictatorship that distracts from it's own ineptitude by blaming Israel for all the woes of its "people" who live in misery mostly because of Hamas.

If Israel ( a legitimately created nation by the UN) should be compelled to "settle" the Palestinian/Israeli conflict though a "one-state solution" so should Canada, USA and many other nations do the same with its conflicts with indigenous peoples who claim the territory (notwithstanding that Palestinians historically are no indigenous peoples and have no historical basis to claim Israel but rather do have claims over Jordan and other Arab territories who have a vested interest in deflected the anger and claims to Israel.)

A few years ago Ad-Busters ran an "article" in which it "exposed" which neo-cons were Jewish. That piece of "journalism" along with this present article expose ad-busters as an irrelevant racist tool of the ignorant politically correct mob.

It's time to boycott ad-busters.

Boilerplate Zionist Historical revisionism.
You can whine and moan all you want about how the world is out to get you but at a certain point you just sound like the boy who cried wolf.
And I think we all know what happened to him.
Second, if you can't stand the heat get out of the fire. If you can't stand people criticizing your war crimes either don't commit them or give up on your sick experiment in colonialism.
Third your criminal genocide of Palestinians is probably the most heinous and horrible thing happening right now in the world. It's right up there with Abhu Graib, Congo, Afghanistan. And due to the 60 years of brutal ethnic cleansing your have been practicing against the Palestinians their plight is perhaps more pressing than any. The fact that you deny the holocaust you commit and chose to rewrite history erasing all your crimes deserves extra special attention especially in Adbusters.

This article along with many of the comments are full of crap! Just because Hamas or the Palestinians say that this is their land, doesn't make it so. History is on the side of Israel in this matter, there is not one mention of Israel/Palestine in the Koran, why, because they never had the right to this land. Go visit Israel, see who is oppressed, who is afraid of missiles landing on innocent families, then maybe, you will understand, but I fear that this anti-Israel bias is entrenched.

The principles of the Hamas are stated in their Covenant or Charter
Hamas Principles

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it." (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

"The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. "

"There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."

Article 7 The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.

What part of 'Kill the Jews' don't you understand? What part makes you think that any solution short of the destruction of Israel would be acceptable to Hamas
