A First Things First Project

The continued Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories is one of the key Arab and Muslim grievances with the West and the root of conflict in the Middle East.
Despite Palestinian resistance and international pressure, it will be the citizens of Israel who will ultimately decide: Either the settlements are evacuated and a Palestinian state is born, or the apartheid system continues and more blood is shed.
This is your chance to speak to the people of Israel directly. Adbusters is launching a public awareness campaign on Israel’s major television networks and we need your help developing 15, 30 and 60-second advocacy commercials. An inexpensive endeavor with great potential: The spots can be aired for as little as a few hundred dollars and reach many of Israel’s 7.2 million citizens.
Militarized, isolated and afraid, Israelis feel demonized and normally see only condemnation in international opinion. This fresh, new project is a rare opportunity to engage the deciders in a fruitful dialogue and help salvage their future and ours.

This is a welcome initiative. Here are some advices for the subscribers, for making a fruitful criticizm that would be heard by the militant, sceptical, desperate, brainwashed, israeli audiance:
1. Responses like ToTheHagueWithThem are a waste of time. there are people who only wish to scream some worn mantras, and there are people who have things to say, that advocate thinking and conversation. The secound type is the one that can make some change.
2. We are ordinary, living-our-life-breathing human beings, not nazis. most israelis are simply looking the other side whenever an unconvinient truth is presented, but we are not blood drinkers. we are just blinfolded. Keep that in mind.
3. Remember, that the only aspect that is handled in israeli media and street, is the violent acts that are poined against us, that are by no mean connected to any reasons. a girl from the southern city of Ashkelon has put it the best in some talkback: "why are you people of Aza shooting at my house? What have we done to you?" that girl sees a completly different picture from what you see. she is not a bad person, but a scared for her life, seeing only her side, brainwashed person.
4. Remember that we are the ones living here, not you. arrogant criticizm will not be welcome(everywhere, not just here).
5. Say something, do something, join the sane minority of israel and palestine, that wish a better future for his children. We need your help.

A Real Semite
Since when did anyone have to check with the rapist to see if it was o.k to ask him to stop raping? No one asked the Apartheid government of South Africa if they would mind information campaigns directed against them before they finally fell. So all these crocodile tears by Jews in 'Israel" about how their feeling are being hurt is yet another ruse to dissuade people from assigning the blame necessary to bring about change. Such assignment of wrong-doing is an integral part of the critical analysis without which change never comes. It is part of the analysis of facts that are needed for justice to prevail and as we all know without justice there is no peace.
It's time for Jews to sack up and face facts and quit stalling. Just admit that you made a horrendous mistake with the theft of Palestine and make amends so we can all get on with it. No one questions that crimes were committed against Jewish Europeans and no one has any problem assigning blame against the Nazis. Throughout history there are victims and there are perpetrators. This time the bad guy is you. And no amount of obfuscation will undo that. Maybe next time it will be someone else but right now its you. Sadly.
The sad fact is YOU build YOUR school atop OUR graves. What were YOU thinking bringing your children into a war-crime and then boo-hooing about how its unsafe for your innocent children? The shame that your children feel and the fear they face is yours to explain and no one else's. I feel sorry for 'Israeli' children who are brainwashed everyday by their racist apartheid loving parents who infect these poor kids with violent Jewish propaganda about Arabs and about the theft of Palestine. Their parents make them think they are more important than the one thousand Palestinian kids who are terrorized everyday in comparison to the one 'Israel' kid who is feels uncomfortable that her school bus has bulletproof windows for when it zooms down a Jew-Only highway that was built right through the center of a Palestinian village. These same kids are the ones who grow up into a world that scorns them for their lockstep racist dogma and evil deeds. These same kids are the ones who grow up to join sniper units in the 'Israeli' army who all wear shirts that say "2 for the price of 1" and are emblazoned with a picture of a pregnant Palestinian with a target over her stomach. This is the kind of hate these poor kids are taught. They are taught that they are worth more. That god chose them. And that their discomfort means more than the torture of 1000 Palestinian children.
Fortunately humans being are fairly resilient and even the most hardened Zionist or Nazi or any type of racist can be brought back to the light. Hate can be undone. Apartheid can be abolished. Justice can prevail. In fact often it does. South Africa may not be perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than it was. 'Israel' can be recycled into something better for all.
But lets stop whitewashing the truth because a few Jews in 'Israel' boo-hoo about how the truth is uncomfortable for them. Without the real dirty truth we can not heal. That's what Tu-tu and Mandella knew in South Africa and it's a good model for Palestine/'Israel'.
They didn't call it the Reconciliation Commission.
They called it the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and it was absolutely necessary for South African to move on and away from violence done to it. The same is true for Palestine.

My grandparrents thought that the jewish nation needs it's own state, so that episodes like the hollocaust and some less famous episodes will not repeat themselves, when they came from morrocco to THe land they were facing to in their prayers for 2000 years. They were not thinking about war crimes. In fact, I can assure you that like most israelis now and then, in 1948, they were not even aware of what is and was going on.

The girl I was tellling about lives in Ashkelon, which is not a conflict zone (unless you wish to kick us out of the entire land, then everywhere is a war zone), and the implicit justification of yours for the killing of her, is unacceptable.

The Israelis are not serial killers from some horror movie, and except for some wacos(which do exist, shamefully), no israeli wish to shoot a pregnant woman, are you even aware of what you are saying? this is a malicious lie.

Which ones? The Israelis or the palastainians? Because one of the most irritating issues in the israeli media is the framing of the hate and Islamic fanatism that is taught in Palastainian schools. the trouble right now is that no one here is boo hooing anything, because the media and the government are doing their best to hide the unconvinient storys, which can hardly be found in hebrew media, so there is nothing to boohoo about, to israeli audience, exept for "the antisemic world that is always against us because we are jews". this is what most israellis see.
involving the israelis in with the conflict in an enlightening manner may not be important to you, since "israelis" don't diserve to live, not to mention to own a state.

you were right i guess. HaAretz is a reliable(and the smallest newspaper in israel, i.e, read by only a few) source. i can only say it is shameful for me to live in a place where such crazy people exist.
I was familiar with such phenomenoms within the frindges of israeli sociaty. frighteningly, it's widening. but i can still asuure you that this is definetly not the mainstream aproach for most israelis.
besides, and not to justify anything, i am familiar with similar slogans within the palastainian side.
I think if you show israelis what we have become, just like you did to me with this T-shirt(an unconviniet truth indeed, that actually never made it to front pages), you could make people think a bit differently about the conflict.
