by kat1986 on April 04 2009, @11:33 am this is meant to be a bit of generalization of these generations. everyone can agree that during theses times there was people who didn't fit into these categories, however for the most part, the vast majority of the population did. it is the people who didn't fit in who brought upon real change and set the foundation for the next generation to build upon... can we do that as the first globals??? or we will we conform to whatever media tells us to be? it's up to you.

by Anonymous on March 24 2009, @10:33 am These are such false categories. I would be a Private, but I was active in the antiwar and women's movements and have been a woman of the left since early adulthood. The current generation did not invent socially responsble consumer boycotts. Didn't anyone ever hear of the grape boycott or the Nestle campaign?

by Anonymous on February 27 2009, @05:17 pm Have to agree with the comments on the photos. You should try using a professional photographer who understands social issues. These images look like they were pulled from an archive and made to fit. I find it appalling that so little thought is given to the use of images. While you might argue that these fit into the "Deadpan" genre, these shots are so weak that they neither allow much personal interpretation or inspire such.

Globals are making mass

by Anonymous on February 26 2009, @01:07 pm Globals are making mass population control a reality, the are easily manipulated and just like other stereotyped 'generations' they buy into their own definition out of a manufactured need to fit in.

Somewhat of a challenging

by Anonymous on February 26 2009, @06:57 am Somewhat of a challenging and optimistic piece. There is a great deal of antipathy between the younger generations today and their boomer parents. Some have even spoken of the boomers' war on future generations. This article's more balanced approach was refreshing. HEY! FIX THE TYPOS AND REPETITIONS THOUGH! You guys have to proof your online content better.

I think it’s insane to

by Anonymous on February 25 2009, @01:55 pm I think it's insane to lump entire generations into one category when talking about voting behavior. To say the Woodstocks pushed for sexual equality and civil rights AND voted for Bush is a contradiction. And I think it's also absurd to criticize women for using anti-wrinkle creams. I know the guys at Adbusters acknowledge evolution as reality. So why mock this behavior as shallow and immoral when it helps in terms of sexual selection. And I think it's also absurd to say aesthetic is nothing, especially coming from a magazine so heavily dependent on graphic design to market its message.

Photos too abstract / not

by Anonymous on February 25 2009, @09:39 am Photos too abstract / not creative enough to show forth the material indulgences - apathy - and bloated stupidity.

I don’t like the photos

by Anonymous on February 17 2009, @11:03 pm I don't like the photos used. They are too blank and boring. You need something that's in the moment, not 30% more shadow.
