Mental Breakdown of a Nation

In Britain There Are No Human Beings

No one to sing "No Future."
SCARLITO

In Britain there are no human beings or citizens, no.
There are live money beings.

The population allows this to happen. They allow the state to tax them very hard and no real protest happens. They seem to like it, or they are just under the spell of a very organized propaganda. After all it is for the common good.

Let’s all in Britain scream in one united voice that we want a very expansive private educational system perpetuating social walls. Here is another idea: why not, instead of letting older generations freeze in the winter, the banker boy just shoots them all. It would be more dignified. He could even privatize this and get some tax out of it.

Britain is heading towards an intellectual black hole.

In Britain there is no social critique or artist that inflames the masses.

There is no one to sing “No future.”

Britain is a master case study to understand how ideology and propaganda work in a free market.

This is Britain.

This is really disappointing, Adbusters has a huge following and could be part of a sorely needed voice in the UK. A voice which would act in opposition to much of the right leaning dumbed down media that you describe. Instead you've wasted your opportunity and sound like a maniac troll, that cannot offer anything more than the same reactionary drivel that The Daily Mail does.

I hope that in years to come we won't be back here saying this article had a point. I think that UK's situation is pretty obscure.

Britain’s testing poisonous gas on Indian soldiers before WWII is among the most notorious atrocities in Britain’s colonial history, leaving hundreds of Indians dead and the survived victims severely injured.

British military scientists from the Porton Down chemical warfare establishment in Wiltshir sent Indian soldiers into gas chambers to test mustard gas during more than a decade of experiments that began in the early 1930s before the Second World War.

The experiments, which took place in Rawalpindi military site, now in Pakistan, aimed at determining the amount of poison gas needed to produce a casualty on the battlefield.

According to the revealed document, these tests were part of a much larger program intended to test the effects of chemical weapons on human beings.

Being exposed to mustard gas, many Indian soldiers suffered severe burns on their skin, including their genitals, leaving them in pain for days and even weeks. Some had to be treated in hospital but British military did not even check up on the victims to see if any illnesses were developed.

Here is few headlines about our nation "Food banks can only plug the holes in social safety nets
Donation-dependent, food banks aren't a 'normal' part of support for those in need, but they help identify flaws in social protection" and" Poverty map shows how cuts in benefits will hurt children
End Child Poverty coalition warns that benefit cuts risk harming the lives of hundreds of thousands of children"

gravitas

Growing up in the 60s, I've always had an interest in creating slang, we laughed at the grammar nazis, they just didn't understand, so they criticized. I guess some people want to feel like they 'know it all', so they hate anything they can't comprehend. Adbusters is a type of graffiti, it may not be Shakespeare, but it sure is poetry.

gravitas,
I absolutely love this, it is one a beautifully poignant statement.

Long may we see the poetry in the 'graffiti' of the counter culture...for all our sakes'...
