Let’s celebrate the wonderful Coke/Pepsi presidential election now in progress … and the honest, feisty way our elected reps in Congress have conducted our nation’s business … pay tribute to the bold visions they’ve put forward.
At dusk on October 31, let’s gather on Capitol Hill, trick or treat Congress and party like we’ve never partied before.

I'll join the revolution when there actually is one. One can't take too serious any of these calls to action. They're no more than an excuse to throw a mindless party while convincing ourselves that we're starting a movement or revolution. Forget it, go Halloween shopping.

Adbusters is such a bloody joke. I remember when I was inspired by their articles. Now, I just feel foolish that I even took part in their nonsense. AB is just as bad as any other big name corporation, with their glossy/picture filled magazine for $10.00 a pop. Whatever happened to reading real, important information in black & white? Why all the gloss, all the glamor, it feels like I'm opening up a comic book, or some magazine selling me hipster gear. Adbusters, enough already.

Those of us at OccupyDC are working on organizing for this event, but don't want to step on anyone's toes who is already organizing anything for this day and the following week of actions leading up to the 5th of November. Is there anything in the works already as far as permits, equipment, food, or logistical support on Adbusters end that we can work with?
I know the general feeling most 'new-age' activists have toward permits is less than positive, however, I would like to avoid watching multitudes of my fellow comrades being arrested for "unlawful assembly" if it could be by simply getting a piece of paper. I realize the constitution is our permit; however, Capital Police, and the laws they enforce, do not share our understanding of civil liberties. If this logistical support hasn't been accounted for we're in for a rude shutdown before we start.
I'm a fan of the action, and adbusters for all their amazing work, I just hope that this action did not get called for without any planning or contacting of our ground troops in Washington DC. IF it did, massive steps must be taken immediately to coordinate all the logistics needed to pull off something beautiful!
Finally, I was wondering if the folks at Adbusters could put up a pdf of a handout that could be printed at four to a sheet of paper for the event so that we can start distribution Now, and build numbers in DC for the event? That would be super helpful!
