Let's have a Halloween party!
Alright occupiers, trick or treat,
Let’s all go to Washington, DC, and have a Halloween night party!
Let’s celebrate the wonderful Coke/Pepsi presidential election now in progress … and the honest, feisty way our elected reps in Congress have conducted our nation’s business … pay tribute to the bold visions they’ve put forward.
At dusk on October 31, let’s gather on Capitol Hill, trick or treat Congress and party like we’ve never partied before.
Bring mask!

PS And if you cannot make it to DC then party in front of the Bank of America in your community... outside your city hall... or in the squares.

How are you going to trick or treat Capitol Hill at dusk when all the staffers leave the offices at 3:30/4pm?

I don't think this is appropriate to make a 'celebatory' occation of this. There are serious matters at hand, and you'll keep in mind please, that in Spains'Austerity protests, 25 people were paralysed. These world protests are against austerity, and if you don't understand what that means, please seek the definition. You are making a mockery out of this, by implying that it is some kind of occation to celebrate. This could discredit the movement and ruin its momentum, instead of elevating it, particularly in the U.S, where it is seriously needed. Stay with the focus plase, and follow suit of the rest of the world thus far. This is not a joke, or time to try to be original, or 'fun', this is the future of the well being of citizens in all countries at stake, and for the U.S. If you want to have fun or be original, put that energy and direction into clever sign messages to protest with. Many protestors have demonstrated courage and bravery to force their governments to listen to them and acknowledge the needs of the people. This is no time for a 'party'.

Look, here's what's revolutionary: Organize where you're at! We can't sustain a movement if we all have to travel. Organize around what your community needs. Occupy was a tactic. It's still an effective tactic, but it's not the only thing. Get out of the tents and into your community!

Hallowe'en party? Bullcrap. This is not going to be a successful movement if all anybody cares about are good graphics and an occasional soundbyte. Occupy is getting sucked into every battle on the horizon, and we're all acting like the good Liberals we are--that we'll just tweak the system and Stop & Frisk and the Spectra pipeline will be stopped. We need to talk genuine resistance and non-cooperation.

Three Comments About Hallowe'en BS
If it is all 'good clean fun', is it right to send kids out begging in the middle of the night?
Talking about The Night and darkness, what is really at the heart of such events?
Surely Adbusters does not agree with all the money wasted on such nasty and needless party junk?
