Suppressing Nonviolent Dissent
Veterans assaulted with truncheons, women dragged through the streets by their hair, grandmothers pepper sprayed in the face, peaceful protestors bludgeoned while sitting. Sound like something authorities in Egypt, Tunisia or Syria would order and condone? Think again. It's happening here in the US.

Just be good little sheep and do whatever we say.
Is that what made America great?

Yes, it turns out that the police are using agent provocateurs to infiltrate the protesters and then start using violent tactics so the police have an excuse to start their offence.

Wait, so since there were isolated (or even not isolated) incidents of violence, that justifies the police pepper spraying the protesters that are sitting down NOT being violent? Because a different guy threw a bottle, they can nightstick someone else for standing peacefully? Because of a different violent protester, they can drag a woman across an intersection by her hair, or bludgeon students standing in place? The really threatening 84 year old woman and the dangerous five foot female UC student? Yeah, good point sir. Your argument is well received.
By that line of thinking, is it ok for people to go to police stations across the country and brutally assault the officers at the station because other cops were violent?
Touche. Your scathing comment certainly makes the point that this documented police brutality is completely justified.
