Suppressing Nonviolent Dissent

An anthology of police brutality at encampments across America.

Veterans assaulted with truncheons, women dragged through the streets by their hair, grandmothers pepper sprayed in the face, peaceful protestors bludgeoned while sitting. Sound like something authorities in Egypt, Tunisia or Syria would order and condone? Think again. It's happening here in the US.

How does dragging hard-working police men and women into this "movement" help?

Police are union members. Do you really think the police enjoy doing this kind of thing?

You are alienating union members - police, fire, municipal workers - all over this country.

You are costing already budget-strapped cities millions of dollars. You are not costing the Wall St. types one red cent. You are sticking it to the real 99% populace of these cities who will have to pay for all the trouble you have cost.

You guys are like little boys throwing a temper tantrum, not thinking one minute past the here and now, or considering the consequences.

As an aside, you have also dragged the Democratic Party into supporting this mess. They may have you to thank for an even bigger landslide loss next November.

Sleep well, occutards.

Ah, Admiral Yamamoto! He was afraid of invading the US, because - as he is reputed to have said - the Japanese "would find a rifle behind every blade of grass."

In other words, yes, a sleeping giant is being awakened. And, there are those that should be afraid. But, it ain't the regular folks who have anything to worry about. OWS are the invaders. They are the ones who should heed Yamamoto's warning.
