Suppressing Nonviolent Dissent
Veterans assaulted with truncheons, women dragged through the streets by their hair, grandmothers pepper sprayed in the face, peaceful protestors bludgeoned while sitting. Sound like something authorities in Egypt, Tunisia or Syria would order and condone? Think again. It's happening here in the US.

We want to get money out of our government so that the people have a voice. There are 5 lobbyists per 1 Congressmen. Every single level and branch is corrupt and sold to the highest bidder.

I live in Australia too. Some of the things we take for granted - like access to health care, for free if need be, no matter who you are - don't exist in America. Imagine basically being left to die if you couldn't afford health care. That's the reality in America. Imagine being thousands of dollars in debt just from having kids. Imagine no Medicare, no pharmaceutical benefits. That's life in the US.
In the same country, a very small few (the 1%) have massive amounts of wealth. They pay hardly any tax (less then the very wealthy here in Australia). Their companies get bailed out if they get in trouble, even if they've done stupid stuff. Wouldn't that inequality make you mad, too? Wouldn't you want to see the rich pay a few more taxes and the government direct that money towards making sure no one has to die because they can't afford to pay a hospital bill?

Jealous much?
Here's an idea: Work hard and take risks, just like the majority of successful people do, and you too can be wealthy one day.
Or, is work anathema to you? Do you just want to live off the fruits of other people's labors?
Many wealthy people didn't start out that way. You want to punish them for their success. Instead, why not work hard and try to become one of them?
If more people worked hard and took risks, the 1% would become the 2%, then the 3%, and so on, and so on.

What risks?
If you succeed, you're rich.
If you fail, you're bailed out (with OUR money) and you're still rich.
