A Movement is Born
Jammers, dreamers, rabble-rousers, revolutionaries,
#OCCUPYWALLSTREET is thundering across America, threatening to morph into a full fledged national movement. Channeling the nonviolence of the Egyptian Tahrir Square uprising and the bottom-up collective decision making of the Spanish acampadas, we vow to end the monied corruption of our democracy.
This Saturday #OCCUPYWALLSTREET enters its third week … be there at Noon and stay for the weekend … or be at one of the 50+ fledgling occupations now being organized across the land.
Our people's democracy movement is about to get three mighty boosts:
- On October 6, a few thousand of us will swarm the capital and #OCCUPYDC. Find out the plan at october2011.org
- On October 15th, the movement goes global … check it out at 15october.net
- Then, on November 3 and 4, we have something special in mind for when the G20 leaders meet in France.

Agreed, everyone should wear the flag with nothing else on so the pigs cant tear it off. And then let that symbolism backfire on the pigs when they beat and torture innocent protestors exercising the first amendment rights that this same flag was created for and for which millions of people have fought and died.

Anyone got a good handbook/manual for countering police tactics?
For instance when they kettle, corral, use sonic cannons, tear-gas, forms of detention and torture borrowed from the "israelis", etc? There must be some smart folks out there who have come up with great counter measures for these pigs.
Wear respirators? Wear masks? Use arm locks in steel tubes?
For every pig tactic there ought to be a countermeasure. But even more we should come up with some solid means of advancing the protests nationwide and world wide that the pigs aren't prepared for - keep them on their heels instead of the other way around. If they study our websites we should study theirs.
After all there are more of us then them. Videotape them and their badge numbers and publish the names and addresses of any pig with a recognizable face? Create a database of offending pigs and those who aid and abet them?
Anyone got some good material collected from around the world on how to defeat the pigs - non-violently as a first choice.

I'm pretty damn certain the best way to avoid encountering hostile police tactics is to protest peacefully. Furthermore, these police officers who you so affectionately call "pigs" are only doing their jobs. They have families and aspirations and they really don't make that much money. You're a pretty sick bastard for wanting to round up all of these people who merely want to do their jobs and keep nutjobs like you off the street for the benefit of the millions of other New Yorkers who work and don't have time for your nonsense. Freedom dies with people like you, I guess it was just too good to last.
