Anonymous Joins #OCCUPYWALLSTREET

Jammers, dreamers, patriots,
Anonymous has just released a video communique endorsing #OCCUPYWALLSTREET. Using language from our first Tactical Briefing, the video calls on protesters to adopt the nonviolent Tahrir-acampadas model. On the 17th of September, it says, "flood into lower Manhattan, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months … Once there, we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices."

Meanwhile S17 is surging ahead internationally. Simultaneous occupations of financial districts are now being planned in New York City, Madrid, Milan, London, Paris and San Francisco. With a bit of luck, this list of participating cities will expand.
If we can pull together just the right mix of nonviolence, tenacity and strategic smarts, S17 could be the beginning of the global revolution we've all been dreaming about for so long … wouldn't that be lovely.

Physical Option (Tent City Protest)
1. You go to prison for not having a permit to protest
2. You don't go to prison and spend all your money (which you don't believe in) sitting in a tent city for months
3. Nothing happens
4. You get some media for your cause but don't believe in media so it doesn't matter
5. You meat someone there and begin a start up company after the protest and become millionaires within years.
6. You become a corporation
7. You don't meat anyone but get drunk in the Lower East Side and see some cool bands
8. You go back to your hometown broke and start all over again
Digital Option (Digital Tent City Protest)
1. You build a tent city of millions via social networks
2. You organize a manifesto that is clean, powerful and rewrites all current power paradigms
3. You network skill-sets and laptops to protest vial all available online tools
4. You call for all debt to be wiped clean
5. You motivate activist and hactivist to encourage debt cleansing processes
6. Social Security Numbers are erased out of the national database
7. Or no real change is accomplished but you still get to drink beer and watch some cool bands
8. You are in your hometown and don't have to start all over again
Dollars are the only language any government understands. Erase the debt. Erase the corporations.

Is Anonymous clicktivism? I beg to differ. All web, no bodies and anonymous to boot.
It would be best not to bite the hand that clicks you. In my humble opinion Moveon.org has probably done more for real change than Adbusters or Anonyous ever has.

Thank you. I think I will go away. Can't imagine this being a very large tent city with how little input I received on the post that declares Anonymous has teamed up with Adbusters. Good luck with your culture jamming.
