Actually Iranians started this but were brutally struck down by the police and military. It grew into the Arab spring after that with Egypt as the focal point.... but it's happening all over the place. Israel had its tent revolution this past summer and significant reforms have kicked in over there. My sense of it is that the purpose of the protest is in large measure, is to demonstrate power, so that the government and the 1% understand that this is is real and important changes need to take place. It's a smart movement and they will prosecute the corporate and government criminals until the corruptions is exposed and justice served.. The 99% will persevere and bring about justice and draft a rule of law that will curb the corruption. The practice of favoring the rich will end and the good people that have a soul, will lead and be part of drafting a new rule of law.
