Honestly people look at a map. Mexico is in CENTRAL AMERICA.

Venezuela is in SOUTH AMERICA.

the United states is in NORTH AMERICA

Buy something on Buy Nothing Day — buy a world map.

Technically, Mexico is North America—consider the size of the country. Border towns like Tijuana and Juarez are north whereas cities like Mexico City or even Cancun are Central America.

Oh God
If youre going to reply
at least research first
MEXICO IS IN NORTH AMERICA DUMBASS
BUY AN ATLAS
you can even look at it in Wikipedia
and please
think a little bit more before opening your mouth or writting a stupid comment

Actually, it’s in Central America. He was correct. You’d know that if you actually used a credible source, which Wikipedia is most certainly not. Kinda comes with that whole “anyone can edit” philosophy. Now how about not getting caught up in little details, and actually discussing something that matters?

haha that is soo funny but RIGHT!

Mexico is in Central America.
Canada is in North America.
Canadians come to the U.S. to go shopping a lot. So to Europeans. Got that?
It’s not just “Americans” shopping in the U.S.

funny how they have to be so passive aggressive about blaming america by calling them “north america.”
last time i checked mexico and canada were also a part of north america.

it’s also funny how america is made up of people from every other country. i’m no big fan of america, but other countries blaming america when people from all over the world go there to indulge and be consumers, well… is just self-deceit in my opinion.

Funny, I’ve seen this mentioned before, but I guess I should help clarify…. “The average North American consumes 10 times as much as a Mexican person…” first and foremost… Mexicans are North Americans…. Second… You should recheck your facts… If you want to “protect” our resources then maybe you should attack the companies that send millions of tons of raw materials to foreign countries to produce product and then charge the American (not North American, but AMERICAN) companies to buy it back. Attack that and leave consumers (which I’m sure you fall into that category or else how in the hell are you posting this ridiculous crap..) alone. The product is made. Not buying it will not stop production. It keeps the economy from flourishing.

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 11/23/2008 - 00:18.

Its simple. We don’t buy, it they won’t make more.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 11/25/2008 - 09:12.

Have you ever taken an economics class? Just curious. Nothing is ever “simple.”

Submitted by Steve2861 on Thu, 12/18/2008 - 17:08.

True, but economics in and of itself is flawed. There’s just no way to make things better, but not change the system as a whole.

Would be nice for the creator to update this video for 2008. I love pigs and it is both brief and effective.

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 11/20/2008 - 13:10.

Why does this video say November 23 is Buy Nothing Day? I thought it was November 28th.

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 11/20/2008 - 14:22.

The video is old and Thanksgiving switches dates each year.
